There is a lot of small icons in the data windows and general software which gives the feel of clutter and can easily dissuade someone from engaging SF especially in the learning stages. I have found this feature quite helpful especially in editing interview podcasts etc. This enables me to enhance vocals in many ways by either applying effects or changing vocal dynamics without necessarily having to alter the background music or ambience. One of the recent feature that has been very instrumental in my working with SF is the Vocal Activity Detection (VAD) which uses AI to detect human vocals in an audio file and applies a red color on the audio wave where vocals are detected. Currently I am using SF Pro 16 and many aspects have been improved with added features.
I have been using Sound Forge for a while and it keeps on getting better and better with the newer versions/upgrades. SF is very complete in many ways as there are many tools sufficiently provided to handle any audio editing task. But there are a lot of tutorials online to help with that.
Equally, Mixing can be challenging, especially if one is not familiar with the process. It can also be difficult for me to know which effects to use and how to use them effectively, as there are many possibilities and it can be easy to overdo it. The quality of recordings made using the recording tool may depend on the hardware and settings being used. Like many other softwares, There are some drawbacks to using Sound Forge that I have encountered.
Mixing is another important feature that allows me to balance the levels of different tracks and create a cohesive final mix. Additionally, there are also many effects that I can use to shape the sound of my tracks and add depth to my mix. The recording tool is easy to use and allows me to capture audio from various sources. It is versatile and can be used for music production and audio for video. I have found Sound Forge to be a very useful audio editing software for a variety of tasks. Overall, I have had a positive experience with Sound Forge and would recommend it to others who are looking for an audio editing software.
